1、 Interface definition: Host side (A): SFF-8643 (Mini SAS HD, 36 pin male). Device end (B): 4 × 7-pin SATA data port (female), without power supply (requires separate connection of SATA power cord). Number of interfaces: 1 in and 4 out, a total of 5 interfaces. 2、 Speed and bandwidth: Host speed: 12Gbps (SAS3.0). Device speed: 6Gbps per channel (SATA3.0). Total bandwidth: 4 × 6Gbps=24Gbps. Protocol compatibility: SAS3.0, SAS2.1, SATA3.0; Compatible with 6Gbps devices downwards. 3、 Electrical and Physics: Wire Gauge: 30 AWG oxygen free copper, aluminum foil+braided double shielding. Impedance: 100 Ω differential, compliant with SAS3.0 specifications. Length: Standard 0.3m/0.5m/1m, customizable. Color: Black/Blue is common; RoHS compliance. Appearance: Integrated splitter, compatible with 1U/2U chassis. 4、 Function and purpose: Connection: 1 SFF-8643 → 4 SATA hard drives (2.5/3.5 inches). Power supply: Data transfer only, each hard drive requires an additional 15 pin SATA power supply. Scenario: Internal expansion of servers, RAID arrays, HBA cards (compatible with 9405W-16i). Hot swappable: support (requires system/controller cooperation).
